These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Zobr ("Zobr," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Zobr website and app (together, the "Platform") to book residential cleaning services as a Host, or to accept and provide cleaning services as a Cleaner. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you through the Platform or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you're 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. Your account is for your own personal or, in the case of Cleaners, professional use — you may not let someone else use your login, and you may not transfer your account to another person.
Zobr does not employ Cleaners and does not itself provide cleaning services. Zobr is a platform that connects Hosts who want cleaning services with independent Cleaners who provide them, and that facilitates scheduling and payment between the two. Cleaners are independent contractors, not Zobr employees or agents.
Cleaner applications may include a review process, which may include a background check. Zobr does not guarantee the conduct, reliability, or quality of any Cleaner's work, and is not a party to the service relationship between a Host and the Cleaner who performs a given visit.
Packages and pricing. Available cleaning packages, their included tasks, and pricing are shown in the app at the time of booking. Prices are per visit unless otherwise stated.
Recurring billing. For recurring bookings, you'll choose a payment plan — paying upfront for a set period, or being billed automatically on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. By choosing a recurring plan, you authorize Zobr to charge your saved payment method on that schedule until the booking ends or is cancelled.
Lead time. New bookings require at least two days' advance notice, to give a Cleaner realistic time to accept the job before it's scheduled to happen.
Cancellations. You can cancel a booking or an individual visit from the app. Cancelling does not currently carry an additional fee, though this may change with notice to you in the future.
Payment processing. Zobr does not store your full payment card details. Card information is handled by our payment processor; Zobr retains only a token and the card's last four digits for your reference.
After a visit, Hosts can confirm the visit went as scheduled, leave a rating, or dispute the visit if something wasn't right. Disputing a visit flags it for review and notifies the Cleaner. Disputing a visit does not automatically cancel the booking, issue a refund, or guarantee any particular outcome — it's the starting point for resolving the issue, and Zobr will work with both parties toward a resolution, but Zobr does not warrant or guarantee a specific result.
Hosts may earn points toward a free hour of cleaning based on completed, paid visits. Reward points have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and are provided at Zobr's discretion — Zobr may modify, suspend, or discontinue the reward points program at any time, with notice to you where required by law.
If you opt in during registration, you agree to receive automated text messages from Zobr related to your bookings and account — including booking confirmations, job offer alerts, and account notifications — at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of using the Platform's core booking or job-offer features beyond what's needed to actually deliver them to you.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by updating your notification preferences in the app. Reply HELP for help. You represent that the phone number you provide is your own and that you're authorized to receive messages at it.
If you use the Platform as a Cleaner, you're an independent contractor — not an employee, partner, or agent of Zobr. You're responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with any licensing or legal requirements that apply to you in your jurisdiction. Zobr does not guarantee a minimum amount of work, offers, or income through the Platform. Job offers you receive are based on the availability hours you set and other factors like your rating and background check status.
By accepting a job offer, you agree to perform the service as described at the scheduled time. Accepting a recurring job is an ongoing commitment until you or the Host ends it — you're expected to honor it accordingly.
You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; harass, threaten, or abuse another user; provide false information about yourself, a service, or a visit; attempt to circumvent the Platform to transact with a Host or Cleaner outside of it in a way that avoids Zobr's fees; interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Platform's operation; or attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, at our discretion, with notice where reasonably possible.
Ratings, written reviews, dispute descriptions, profile bios, and photos you submit ("User Content") must be truthful and lawful, and you must have the right to share them. You're solely responsible for your User Content. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in good faith, is harmful, abusive, or false.
Zobr and its licensors own all rights to the Platform, including its design, code, and branding. These Terms don't grant you any ownership interest in the Platform — only a limited, revocable right to use it for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Platform, or use it to build a competing product.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Zobr does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any cleaning service booked through it will meet your expectations — the quality of a specific cleaning visit is the responsibility of the Cleaner who performs it, not Zobr. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zobr disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zobr's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to Zobr in the [SIX (6)] months before the claim arose. Zobr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any Cleaner or Host.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these kinds of limitations, so some of this may not apply to you depending on where you live.
You agree to defend and indemnify Zobr against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your use of the Platform.
You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or for other legitimate business reasons, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you before doing so except where we believe immediate action is necessary.
Before filing any claim against Zobr, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the issue informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may bring the matter to the state or federal courts in the jurisdiction where the Platform is operated, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking temporary or preliminary relief if necessary to protect rights or prevent irreparable harm.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a change that materially affects your rights, we'll provide notice before it takes effect, as described in Section 1.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Zobr regarding the Platform, superseding any prior agreements on the same subject. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
